12.5% is fair, for your average pie-dish.
    (One half of a quarter)

    Anything more and you're just a greedy-guts.
Anything less, you'll resent them and start this thread.

What's the diameter of the pie? Impossible to set a standard without dimensions.

Should it not be a pie chart as opposed to a bar chart?

Yes... but what if you were told you can have a BIG slice of the pie... would you still take 12.5%

For that pie, anything over 12.5% would be a big slice.

Who cares at the size it’s the same humble pie you’ll be eating regardless.

If its a desert .... a slice equivalent to a standard desert plate or bowl.

If its a pizza .... anything goes really, as long as there is enough for everyone.

Noone should take more than is fair .... Whats fair? Need another thread for that...

What's the diameter of the pie? Impossible to set a standard without dimensions.

If the radius is z and height is a then the volume is pizza

If it were from a cherry pie, I would call it, damn fine.

A big slice is anything more than half of the remaining pie.

Steak and ale pies are not intended to be shared. Doesn’t matter how big they are.

From the pie eaters handbook, published in 1879:

When one is consuming Ye Olde Tasty Crusted Meat & Ale Stewe, one should always be a fat bastard and declare merrily, “Aye,aye! I ate all the pie!”. At which time the congregation of peasants, uneducated as they are wont to be may bawl the response, “You fat bastard, you fat bastard! You ate all the pie!”. If one has mobility and a blunderbus, execute a peasant to remind the vermin that anyone insinuating a pie should be shared is a dead man walking.

1/8 or 12.5% is a fair slice, anything smaller is stingy (and please don't give me any squirty cream)

20% if you had no breakfast... otherwise 20%
