    Hi folks,

Is adhesive required on overlap of roof felt lengths or will nails do the job? If it is required, then will ordinary adhesive suffice?

If its a small shed then nails are OK but its a bit of a poor job.

Ideally you use torch on felt and heat it up with a propane torch as you apply it so the whole of the felt is stuck to the roof, not a job for the faint hearted.

You can improve your nail on felt with a cold tar roof felt adhesive (an example from Amazon) that will help it stick and can be used to join sheets, but nail as well.

Did my roof with just nails. Hard part was getting the felt turned up at edges. Get that wrong and rail will flow down the sides from roof. Job was handy enough. Shed is 10x12 foot.
