i've a horribly patchy lawn. i've used evergreen feed and weed but its not done much for the bare areas. What would be the best thing to do? thinking cutting it all back and reseeding the whole lot. Thanks in advance!

Looks like it has poor soil. If it was me i'd rip it up, put down a bed of gravel/sand for drainage, get some decent soil and start again.
