HI. My employer has given us new contracts with an increased hourly rate. There are some details that need amended on the contracts before we sign them. They have also said they'll back date our pay from late last year to present. If I accept another job offer in the meantime and leave before I get the new contract signed I have no claim to the back pay do I?

You will get the back pay after you've signed the contract.

Are they obliged to give me the new contract to sign during my notice period?

No, why would they enter into a new contract for your benefit when they know you are leaving.
