Just saw this- the Woodland Trust in the UK have put out an app for Apple or Android phones- which has an excellent key to help people identify trees they might encounter.

Looks like a very usable and interesting little app- and did I mention- its free?

Yeah I have been using that. It's very good. Google lens also works well especially for flowers.
