Would you prefer if Bank Holidays were on a Friday rather than a Monday?

Nah, the Friday before a BH is a great wind down in itself anyway!

Sound - I'll withdraw my application and keep things to Mondays.
    As you were.

I'd prefer if they were on both.

I try to take annual leave on the Friday of a bank holiday weekend. Best of both worlds.

Friday, simply because I'm off on Mondays anyway. But it doesn't really matter because I work bank holidays if it's one of the days I usually work. Why do banks get holidays anyway? They close for 2 days a week, and most don't open early or stay open late. Baffles the mind really.

Are you supposed to be getting a new bank holiday for Europe day or something like that?

Monday. People are usually in a better mood on a Friday anyway.

A 4 day a week job would be ideal.

If it was a Friday it would actually feel the same as a Monday.

How have some people here not realised?

Still a 4 day week all you’re doing is calling the days a different day.

Monday is a long day where I work, as in literally longer, we work an hour later on a Monday. 10 yrs on my job, that poxy hour has equates to nothing but a dreaded resentment of Monday.. Friday is a short day, most of check out at about lunch time in our heads, great form and plans afoot.
