ok got Starling trouble here at other farm,
i see that they got a nest (no eggs) in my tractor which i need to use this week.
they have also built a nest in the side of a house that guys were to come out and put pvc fascia boards on as have rats in next

I don't want to really disturb them but really need the tractor and get that house sorted.
I did mention it to another person and they say its illegal to touch them

If there is no eggs in the nest on the tractor it is likely you have disturbed them already . Dispose of nest and keep tractor in different spots to discourage nesting.

thanks, ok so if no eggs in nest you can legally remove from both tractor and house if its the way of progress, like to know what the law actually is on this

I think this is the statue that you are looking for
    http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1976/act/39/enacted/en/print.html

I think the law is that you can removed the nest as long as there are no eggs/chicks in them.

Starlings - I'd be a lot more wary if it were a species that is in danger
