    Hi all

My wife’s 2nd learner permit is about to expire.
Does she need to sit a test or just book a test to renew it.
    Thanks

Has she previously done a test already?

No Gerry she got her first permit and didn’t even use it then renewed it and has only started taking lessons now. But it runs out the end of this month. Not sure how she gets another can’t really find any info on the RSA site.

She just needs proof that she's booked a test, she doesn't have to do one. :)

If she books a test and shows evidence of that she'll get a 1 year permit, if she takes and fails a test she'll get a 2 year permit.

Just wondering If you are applying for a 3rd permit how do the NDLS know if you are sending in your 1st or 2nd permit. Could you apply for your 2nd again?? Ta
