Does anyone know why the Ring of the Rath is closed? OPW put in a lovely car park then padlocked the entrance gates! The old entrance across a field is no longer accessible so the entire site is now closed.

The car park was finished months ago. :(

Visited it a few months ago and all was fine. Pass by often enough so must look in.

The old path is gone and the new gates are padlocked, with a lovely car park and path behind them. The only way in now is to try and climb over the wall beside the gate, no problem if you’re young and fit....
