Gaps between taking days off?

    Hi all,

I'm currently 6 months into my job and work Wednesday-Sunday for a company. Until today, I had not used any of my annual leave (the days I've taken off so far have been comped as they've been bank holiday weekends). Today was the first day I properly made use of my 20 days, so I have 19 left. I have an event coming up in 2 weeks time (the Sunday of the June bank holiday) that I would really like to go to. But I am wondering as I'll be taking the weekend off again so soon, if eyebrows will be raised? Mainly wondering that I will have to take the day in mid June off too as I have a family event that I have to go to that weekend.

Would you disapprove of this if you were a manager? I would really appreciate any input. Many thanks!

Go for it. Taking only 1 day off in 6 months should raise more eyebrows.

If one of my team hadn’t taken any holidays in 6 months I’d be encouraging them to take time off, I wouldn’t want them getting to the end of the holiday year with loads of outstanding days.

Thanks guys! Here's what I was going to do:

    Take off the following days:

    Friday 31st of May
    Saturday 1st of June
Sunday 2nd of June (I was going to take this day as comped given that I do not work Mondays and that Monday is a bank holiday)

And then I was going to take Sunday 23rd of June off again for the family event.... seem ok? The company did previously they didn't want everyone to get to December and then suddenly take all days at once.
