I’ve a bag of Ericaceous compost which I’ve just removed from a shed. I’d guess it’s there, unopened, about 15 years. Would it be okay to use for potting plants or does it go off? Plan on repotting some Pieris Japonica. Have it currently in the ground and it has never performed.

If it hasn't any added slow release fertiliser added, then it keeps forever.
