    Hi all
Apologies if this is the wrong forum, mods please move if so.
We are in the market for a composite door (along with windows for the house) and we have been looking at composite doors. Some company’s we have visited are telling us foam filled is the way to go while two company’s, who seem to have good reps but prices to match, are recommending a “shell” type door, a Palladio door it’s called as far as I understand it.
Apparently the shell type door is far superior in strength, durability etc but we’ve been quoted in the region of 4K. This includes two 500mm wide side panels with triple glazed glass. The price seems quite high but at the same time I don’t want to be replacing a foam door 2 years down the road.
    Can anyone give some advice.
    Much appreciated.

We are getting quotes at present for new windows and a front door.

The rep recommended a Palladio front door due to strength and security features. We are thinking one pane of glass on it and it’s coming in at €2,100 supply and fit. If we go with windows aswel they reduce price of door to €1,900

    hi all
im looking in to getting a palladio composite door as opposed to a foam filled composite door. ive been quoted 4k for a 1000mm wide door plus 2x 500mm wide sidelights all with triple glazing etc. this includes fitting.
What do you guys reckon is this price fair enough?

    Yes

Assuming you’ve got 3 comparable quotes
