    Hi Lads
I have a load of scrub left from where knocked a few trees and cleared a ditch, I have thrown a few pallets on it. I want to burn if off this weekend in the good weather. Whats best, used engine oil I heard trying to line up local mechanic for this. What do most people use ?

needs to go this weekend. looking for suggestions.

    Thanks

Firstly have you notified the county council?
If not it would be advisable.

Light it with a bit if straw, dont use oil or diesel

Have you contacted the council on this, tue public are very tuned in on any burning of bushes so best be right first.

They need to be dry, adding anythinngis useless if they are not dry. You will get a load of steam and smoke and have to come back when they are dry.

Oh, pallets etc would be seen as commercial waste and we wouldn’t be burning that on our farms of course.

If they are dry they will burn with a bundle of straw pushed on at the bottom.
