    Hi all,
A friend of mine is applying for a carers allowance but she needs proof of what the household income is including her husbands earnings.

So there lie,s the problem as they as basically separated and are not on speaking terms so he will not give her any help as in wages slips,p60 etc that she can use in her application for the allowance.

Is there a way she can get this information her self ie through the tax man as they are still a married couple and taxes he pays would be that of a married man and there fore any forms he fills in tax wise would contain her earnings or not so would she be entitled to see his earnings?

Hope that made sense, any advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers.

Assuming joint assessment, she can register with revenue myaccount and have online access to the details of both.
    E.g. request a p21 balance statement for 2018
