Airlock in system

Hey just wondering if anyone can tell me how I know if I have resolved an airlock problem in my plumbing system?

Pipes were banging last night when I had my stove fire on, I turned the thermometer down and ran the hot tap and it subsided, this morning when I turned my cold tap on there was air spurting from it

So I turned the main water supply off and drained the system, then turned main water supply back on and gradually opened all of the taps, the hot water taps were not running, I suspected this was because the boiler had not had a chance to fill back up yet, so left it for a bit and now all taps are running fine.

Am I right to assume I've resolved the airlock problem, or is there a way I can test this for sure?

    TIA!!
