Folks what are your thoughts on cattle doses. I aim to does stores which will be finished in Oct/Nov. I don't want to dose them again. I want a capture all dose fluke/worms.

I was thinking on the lines of Ivomec Super injection?

Will a dose now cover for fluke later in summer ?

I always thought of fluke as a late summer pest, moreso on damp summer autum weather..

That's my point re fluke. These were bought in cattle, so I don't know their history. I don't want to bring them in twice but I might have to.

Is it too early to dose yearlings?

Depends how long they are out I suppose.. Not within 6-8 weeks of turnout, they couldnt have much burden in that time, providing they were dosed 4-6 weks after housing that is.

I’d say dosed now with Ivomec super, and gone by Oct/ Nov, they should be fine. Sure, they may pick up some fluke in autumn, but will they have it long enough to make any difference?
