    Hi,
What si the recommendation re. insurance when doing an extension?

Does normal insurance cover a property or is it advisable to take out some specific kind of cover?

    Thanks...

Ask your insurer because, IIRC, there is an issue with possible double cover.

Most cases, the home owner talks to their insurance company and they amend the cover.

As well as notifying your insurance company, if using a builder, make sure they have public, employers and contractors all risk insurance policies.
