Hi, how do I register for a new connection? Do Electric Ireland require notification if any work is to be carried out near existing poles/wires, etc.?

    Thanks, Tom

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for getting in touch.

ESB Networks maintain the electricity network for all suppliers, including Electric Ireland. If you have any safety concerns, we recommend contacting them directly on 1850 372 757 or 021 2386555.

In the case of a new connection, an application first needs to be made to ESB Networks. See here for more information and the required form. Once all the paperwork and necessary work is complete, you can then choose your electricity provider.

You can find Electric Ireland's offers for new customers online here.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,
    Aoife
