Battery / Charger mismatch

    Hi all,

I'd like to charge a battery for a hedge trimmer but the charger didn't come with it; I'm wondering if using another charger would be safe as getting the specific voltage/amp online has proven tricky and the part is discontinued by the supplier.

    Specifically the manual states:
    Charger output : 15V DC 160mA

I have an adjustable charger that can charge at 15V, 3.5 A. Am I right in thinking that this is fine and that the amperage doesn't matter as long as it's more? Is it safe to charge?

    Thanks for any advice!
