I was deleting things from Samsung S7 & managed to delete all my pictures (was in my files). There is no sd card.

I googled it and got to debug, it restored 70/300 pictures. I installed the recommended apps & 1 is trying to charge me to restore 50/60 more. It's also coming up root won't finish as I can't bypass app.

Some of the pictures, I really want to get back, stupidly hadn't backed them up.. Is there a way to retrieve them??

If you have a google or gmail account, theres a good chance they may be backed up without you knowledge, log into gmail from a laptop and have a look.

Surely Google photos would need to be installed to keep them backed up in some form?

I tried looking up photos in Google but it says no photos.

I will try that tomorrow, thanks.

By continuing to use the phone you're destroying more and more photos.

So do you have any suggestions how I can retrieve them?

Not being smart but you probably haven't a chance. I did the same with my Galaxy S5 and I couldn't get them back. Lesson learned and I back all up to google photos now!!

    Try the diskdigger app.

Go to the online version of Google Photos or your Google Drive, not the app, and you'll there's a recycling bin folder. If you were previously using Google Photos on your phone you should see any deleted photos in there.
