    Can you please tell me whats making this high pitch screech/call?

    its coming from a vacant site next door, the site is overgrown with bramble, thatch and laurel

    i presume its a bird..hatchlings in a nest? a raptor?...or is it a bird?

    Ok..it’s a Blackcap alarm call, they have two alarms, one general everyday ‘Tic Tic ‘ call similar to Robin, wren, Stonechat etc and then there is the frantic ‘That looks like a cat!!’ call ..yours is the latter..
