    Hi Guys
Bought a house last year with a pump to supply water pressure to the second floor.
At the moment it's no longer cutting in and out and will stay running constantly if not plugged out.
Anyone know of any water pump repairs/suppliers/plumbers in and around Galway city that know this kind of system?

    Cheers

    HB

I'm not a plumber but I had a similar problem years ago in an apartment i lived in. Could be two issues:

    1) The pump is coming to the end of its lifespan and needs to be replaced. Whatever part is inside the pump has worn down, and the seals may break and you get a massive leak.

    2) Your toilet might be trickling water constantly, causing the pump to keep pumping water back into the cistern. Check if there's a constant trickle of water down the toilet bowl.

    Hey Thanks for the reply
I've checked every toilet and sink in the house, nothing is dripping.
I did discover that it actually works now in a binary state lol
It's always on till you tap the electronic switch in the top of the pump, then it's off... tap again and it's back on
Looks like a faulty connection somewhere in the switch
