MOT to NCT

    Hi all,

    sent my MOT cert today to the Applus address online and sent the form along with it to get my MOT transferred to NCT.

    Also had get a replacement cert via the dvls and paid 10 pound presume this will suffice?

    Also Just wondering how long will i be waiting? is it a quick enough process?

    Is there an online way to do this?

    NCT office handed me a form to fill out and post?
    They didn't know if the fee was still being waived or not?

    Whats the latest?

    I did it in May and had my postal order returned. That reminds me I must dig it out and cash it. Haven’t gone near a PO in over 30 years. What an archaic system.

    Post form in.
    No fee required.
    New nct arrives within a week or so.

    Sorry but why is the fee being waived? Just about to send mine off after importing from UK

    EDIT: Just seen it in small print on RSA.ie, wouldn't kill them to update the form

    Sorry I didn't realise I could just transfer an MOT for an NCT,.I thought u had to go through an NCT no matter what.

    Came across this info on the NCT website ......

    Customers please note that in the event of the UK leaving the EU Unexpired UK MOT Certificates will not be transferable or accepted after 31 October 2019 ...

    Seen that, too.

    Luckily nct is the least to worry about.

    Got my application returned today as I only had the online MOT certificate print out. Don't have the original, a bit annoying!

    Strange that, I only had the print out and the sent me out an NCT for the remainder of time left on MOT.
