I note from my policy that I can claim for a dog that dies young. If I have received payment for treatment- should I claim this? It feels wrong & if paid out I would use the funds for next puppy. Is it wrong to claim for this? Would they penalize me for future puppies?

What age did your dog die OP?

I believe you can only claim if the dog was under 5 years of age (Allianz)

They won't punish you on one policy after claiming on the other - they're different policies and different dogs. I claimed when my cat was sick. It did feel weird getting a cheque after he was gone but that's what the insurance was for - I had never claimed in the 6 years I had him until then :(
