William Hill will this week become the latest bookmaker to make changes to their best odds guaranteed (BOG) promotion, which will now apply only on the day of the race.

They follow Paddy Power, who last week told customers they would be offering BOG only from 8am on the day of the race rather than from when a race is priced up.
I had not even realised that Paddy Power had already done this.

Needless to say, it's another kick in the teeth for punters after seeing treble the odds of lucky 15's go.

I got the same. It just means that no one is going to bother getting on before 8 am each morning. If you were having a good wallop at a horse you couldn't get on online anyway, so I am not sure how much of a difference it will make.

Ever since BOG began the overnight value has disintegrated anyways. Paddy Power are the worst price since they paired up with Betfair. They do nice deals on the big handicaps, that's about it. In saying that I think they're streets ahead of the rest of them in terms of customer service etc.
