    This is melting my head all day. There was an album out in the 90,s with Monks singing, Georgian ? Chant type of thing with a rock element. Who was it ? Please......:confused:

    There was a time where gregorian chant was everywhere, kind of like pan pipes.

    The two combined in a track called Sadness by Enigma which is probably what you're thinking about.

    The Happy Mondays had a remix of hallelujah that had a bit of gregorian chant thrown over it as well.

    When I saw the title "Sadeness" on the youtube video, I thought it must be a mistake but apparently not:
    "The title is a combination of the words "Sade" and "sadness." "Sade" refers to Marquis de Sade, a French novelist whose sexual activities gave us the word "sadism." He believed sex had to be painful in order to be pleasurable."

    That song got me interested in Gregorian chant, the real stuff without the rock element. I might just stick on a CD before bed.
