KK City bar suggestions - day after wedding

    Hi,

I'm looking for a few suggestions for a bar in KK city that might be suitable for a bit of a get together the day after a wedding.

Numbers are around 40 at the minute. We'd love somewhere with a nice terrace/beer garden that wouldn't be too far from the main street and would be able to supply some finger food. It is a Sunday in June so fingers crossed the weather will be ok.

Looking for a "old man" style pub rather than a big open venue if that makes sense? There may not be anything that fits all the above criteria but will take all suggestions!

Orchard bar maybe? Bit out from town though.

Probably could get Billy Byrnes of a Sunday. Matt's could probably do upstairs. Kilford or Langton's. Kernal has a nice area also, I'd probably go for Byrne's or Kernal.

Bridies on John St. They’ve a small private bar upstairs. There’s a stairs up there leading out to the beer garden. If the weather is good they’ll reserve the bottom section of the beer garden for you.
JBs Bar can arrange finger food aswell. Located at the top of John St - no beer garden

Hacketts. Old style pub, beer garden, Tommy will organise food for you. He fires up the BBQ in the summer as well

Kilkenny River Court Hotel, big terrace outside beside the river, lots of parking, food can served, central location, excellent views of Kilkenny castle, tv's inside for any matchs on. On a sunny day there is no better place for a large crowd as it has the space.
