I seriously doubt that, awkward, yes, but....

I dont wash my hands after the toilet.

Grasp away old person with a poor immune system.

    Grasp away.

I have an uncle who does this.
He could be 20 seconds gripping your hand.
I think he knows it too and just does it to be a bit of a prick.

What do you do in that situation, do you grip their hand again, just stand there waiting for them to let go, or pull your hand away?

If they cupped my bollix at the same time, I reckon that'd be more awkward! :D

Annoying I grant you, but nowhere near as bad as the "limp fish" handshake some people have, or ones where they only let you grip the ends of their fingers.

Apart from the eternal grip he'll also have his left arm somewhere aound your elbow or bicep so he must be trying to assert himself in all of this.

I used to stand there and wait, I'd maintain the grip as I've never give a limp handshake. I met him a half a dozen times a few months back and after the first few I pulled away after a firm grip and a pump or two not wanting to indulge him.

As bad as it is I think a limp dick handshake is worse.

i only do the throbbing bicep "CIA got you pushing too many pencils" hand grip from Predator.

    Pretty awkward with work clients.

You've never experienced an awkward handshake until you are on business in Africa and expect a formal business like handshake but end up summoning a tropical rain storm from the handshake that actually takes place from the longevity and complexity of it.

Firm (but don't squeeze the shíte out of someones hand) grasp, eye contact, quick up and down, release. Simple.

First they came for the socialists...

    It's a test.

Never pull away form a handshake, gives off a bad impression.

The holders are a bit much, but it's the cúnts who try to crush your bones into dust that I cant stand.

If you want to measure mickeys just say so and i'll whip the bastard out, but don't crush my fingers. I need them all of them to hold my huge mickey;)

Father Felix Moran was the master of holding onto your hand for too long when shaking it. If the rumours were true he'd hang onto more than your hand.

I once reached over a table, while standing, to shake a seated person's hand. I was slightly off balance but was steady. The person wouldn't let go and proceeded to start a conversation while holding my hand. I actually said, 'Listen if you don't let go of my hand I'm going to fall over this table'.

The try beak your hand dicke*d is the worst though. What are they trying to prove, they're an arsehole?

It doesn't bother me because my hands are big and strong and are not tiny small-fingered pedo hands that would be bothered by an extended handshake.

Remember that from school alright. First one to stop lost or had broken hand from power shake.

Always the auld lads with this. Get introduced to someone who knew your father, uncle, aunt about 40 years ago and they like to spend the entire chat gripping your hand
