Hi all so we're currently refurbishing our 1st home, based in South offaly we've had a few surprises so far and had hoped to change our windows but now due budget restrictions we're now looking at repairing/upgrading the windows we have which are about 10-15yrs old, I think they are upvc double glazed, it would be mainly hinges and seals needed along with one or two locks, any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

Cant give a definitive answer but looking for new windows myself at the moment and noticed that some companies quote you for windows with a 1.0 U value and others with about 0.3. There is a difference in the price naturally so just be aware that it might be worth your while paying the extra for a window that will help to keep the house warmer.
