    Hi
My massey 390T is burning out soloneids switches nearly every 6 months.
The starter is an iskra high speed starter. Any one have any ideas what's wrong

Going to get a new starter Monday I have the price if several spent replacing the soloneid

The geared starters can be prone to damage from clutch dust , this might be putting extra pressure on it.

I know with 5&6 series Massey's there was an issue with water getting into the gear cranks and being drawn up into motor. Ask the lad that reconditions them if it is getting damp. You can get solineids that are more water proof I think. Finally check the inspection door at bottom of cranks if it is the same as 6 series. Seal with tiger seal but leave small open spot for water to exit
