    A classic.

Thing is I don't think I have ever seen it but heard loads about it.

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

A strange scheduled showing by BBC Two, early time slot and very quick repeat. Twas on less than a year ago.

Its an incredible film. 'Ahead of its time' is an understatement. In concept and technically.

The music in it is amazing too. Its a stunning looking film alright and amazing that he came up with it. Way ahead of its time. I would put Stanley Kubrick up there with Gene Roddenberry for future concept's and vision.

    Peace and long life.

It's to coincide with an exhibition of Kubrick's work in London. Barry Lyndon is being shown tonight, filmed mostly in Ireland.

Yeah, exhibition opened on Friday. I'll be in to see it ASAP. Looks very impressive.

BBC Four 9 PM, Film4 are also reshowing a documentary about his right hand man Leon Vitali its called Filmworker 12.30 AM tonight, worth seeing esp for his efforts to keep the Kubrick legacy in tip top condition (a bit of a battle as you'll see).

Thanks for the heads up on the documentary, would have missed that......

Thinking of going to the exhibition in London next week, but it seems the tour itself only lasts 1 hour which I think is a bit short........

What do you mean only lasts 1 hour? There's only enough content to occupy an hour?

Everyone is giving the tour 5 star reviews from what I can see.

I am booked for Thursday afternoon.. 16 quid a ticket, tour time says 1pm to 2pm, tours are on the hour, so hopefully it lasts longer........

Pretty sure that's just a designated time slot for when you can enter the exhibition as opposed to a 60 minute tour that starts on the hour. It might be worth checking but I'd be surprised if it's the latter.

I watched it for the first time last night.

I was blown away by things they predicted (or inspired?) that are now common place e.g. in flight entertainment, video chat, tablets.

I got very confused once things went all psychedelic though. I had to do a lot of googling afterwards to understand wtf I had just watched!

I have never watched this film. I really should, given my name is Dave and I get it quoted at me the whole time.

Might grab a bottle of wine and sit down for the few hours tonight to give it a go.

    Filmworker is very good.

    Leon is a masochist.
