Eir still charging me

Does anyone have any experience with still being charged for broadband after they cancelled their service and were told that YES, you successfully cancelled, and NO, you won't be getting any new bills or extra charges?

Jesus Christ the amount of fine print following any deal with Eircom is amazing. Barely got to cancel before ending my trial period ended, and now, months later, I get a new bill!

Can't call them because the account number is now invalid.

The only way to reach them is through chat where a guy is trying to convince me of some other expenses I wasn't aware of. How this crooked gob****e organisation is in business is beyond me.

    Thanks for any help.

Login into your account and change the direct debit to a fake credit card number. Just Google fake credit card number and it will also give you a fake name and address.

I was moving house last October or November and they wouldn't answer phones or accept cancellation through webchat. Packed up the modem and posted it back along with cancellation letter. Still have no acknowledgement of the cancellation and keep getting bills. The bills show as paid on the fake credit card number and the eir sports app still works. Don't know if broadband is still active at the house as have moved to new house and signed up a new account with sky.
