Looking to paint over an internal black door . The door was painted ral 9005 black a few weeks back but we didn't finish off with final top coats as we didn't like how it looked with the rest of the furniture.

Now I will have to reinstate it to its original egg shell finish.

(It's was originally a deante white pre primed door )

Thanks in advance for any suggestions..

Did it have an eggshell finish or was it just pre primed? regardless, get a can of fleetwood Bloxx It. Apply 2 coats then paint with whatever colour and finish you want ( light sand between coats)

It was pre primed and then we had added an egg shell finish. This is before we painted it black.

What’s the difference between bloxxx it and ZINNSER Bin?

Using the Z Bin at moment to cover stained wood but also heard of the Bloxx it
The Z Bin is doing a great job but time consuming
