SEAI Grants

Hi
In an attempt to find out about Grants for the upgrade of commercial properties (such as 1970s offices) - I have been in touch with SEAI.

I have been directed to their Grants section on their website.

There is a form of assistance titled EXEED - has anybody any experience with this ?
and

am I correct in thinking that there is no Grant assistance available (such as the Domestic Deep Retrofit) to owners of commercial buildings such as 60s / 70s office buildings?

The only ones I'm aware of are for domestic.

Businesses can claim the VAT back and the rest can be offset against tax. There is no way they'd give a grant on top of this too.

you need to engage Professional services to implement EXEED processes

As well as EXEED there are a plenty of options out there:

. ACA: https://www.seai.ie/energy-in-business/accelerated-capital-allowance/ ...rather than waiting for 8 years on the wear and tear, you can write the cost off straight away.

. Lighting grants: https://www.seai.ie/grants/business-grants/lighting-support-scheme/

. energy efficiency obligations scheme: https://www.seai.ie/energy-in-business/energy-efficiency-obligation-scheme/ ....... support from your energy supplier, as they need to show they are instrumental in energy reductions for their customers.
