King cabs - why not more popular?

Seems 99% of pickups in Ireland are crew-cabs & that's grand. Single cabs seriously compromised for space inside the cab for tools etc. But I find crew-cab beds surprisingly small...kingcabs seem to offer a decent compromise but they're like hen's teeth around my neck of.the woods. Just interested in opinions, not a kingcab evangelist or anything...

Insurance companies probably piss themselves to get charging more for insurance

They are crap. Neither put someone in the back or a tool and your tray isn't that much bigger. The shorter crew cab tray is perfect %99 of the time. If you really need a bigger one there is company's out there makeing alloy trays. Much bigger with tool boxes underneath and fold down sides ect.
