Tudor Vs Sinn

    Which would you pick?

Tudor Black Bay 36mm with black dial. €2000.

    Or

    Sinn 556i 38.5mm with black dial. €1000.

    I'm thinking the Tudor?

Looks more dressy and still has a sporty feel.

I feel it would also scratch the Rolex explorer 114270 itch I have. I already have the new 39mm explorer and a few people said I would be mad to get a Tudor BB36 due to this. But they are two completey different pieces.

They are both very similar but the Sinn has a date complication and 50m extra water resistants over the Tudor (I have never gone deeper then 20m and this wouldn't be on my wrist anyway doing that)
So these two things would not bother me.

It's a great value piece the Sinn so maybe somewhere down the line
I'll take the plunge on one.

I feel the ETA 36mn black bay might be a watch people want 10 or 20 years down the line?

If it was my money and a straight choice between the two, I would be getting the Sinn on purely aesthetic grounds.

The crown on the 36mm version of the Black Bay sticks out way too much for my liking.

That’s quite a big price difference. Also, Sinn have really shot up in price and I don’t think the 556 in particular is worth what they’re asking. It wasn’t too long ago that the 556 were selling for 600-700 direct. I’d much rather the Tudor, again it’s a big jump, but I do feel that Tudor do more to justify their cost.

That was something that bothered me at first from pictures I seen of the BB36, but when it's on the wrist it's grand. Not really noticeable. It's something quirky about it.

Yes they really have gone up on price. If the 556i was €600 I'd already have one :)

I love the Black Bay 36mm, so would definitely opt for the Tudor. I plan to get one towards the end of the year but with the blue dial. Love the simple clean face and the bracelet strap.

Here's the Blue dial next to my 39mm Explorer amazing the difference 3mm makes.

It's a beauty I want to get my wife the blue one in 32mm. But I could it 36mm and borrow it every now and again :)

I was actually showing my wife the tudor and she wants the 32mm too!

That's mad the difference 3mm makes alright, my wrist is 7 inches so think the 36mm will be fine but going to try on first somewhere....and then order off Montredo or the like

Ya I'm 7 inche wrist also. It looks great on wrist, it really dose. I'll see of I can get a picture,, I think I have a few from last time I tried one on.

How does Montredo work? Will your name be on the warrantee card? Are the sourced from ADs or what?

Mentioned Montedo as that was one of the best prices I've seen for the BB36, €2,249. They do source from ADs. Looked at their site again just now, says warranty card will be stamped by concessionaire with exact date of purchase

Great pics, the 36mm looks a very nice fit there for your wrist

You are not flying out of Europe from Heathrow soon by any chance? They work out at about €2000 If you are as you get the tax off it. There's some on eBay for about £1700 also if you were willing to chance that route.

Nope just back from Chicago (but flew direct from Dub) and no plans to go through Heathrow at the moment. €2k or anything below would be good though. Wouldnt be overly keen on the Ebay route tbh

For sure, I won't pay over €2k for it. I would imagine that watch will always be worth €1000 to €1500 even after 7 or 8 years. What do you think?

Wouldnt disagree with you on that. They are a beautiful piece and a very timeless style so imagine would get a decent recoup if flipping

They’re both lovely, but for me it’d be the Tudor, it’s slightly more classic looking in my opinion, it looks great on leather if you want to change it up a bit. I’ve no idea what Sinn bracelets are like but the Tudor ones are lovely. Finally I think it’ll hold value better than the Sinn will. But have you tried them both on? If not you should and let your heart rather than head decide
