    Hi,

Moving house in Dublin in the next few weeks and will need to keep contents of a 4 bed semi d in storage for a week. Any idea of what costs to expect for removal and storage and delivery of the contents to 5 miles away?

We can organise our own storage space but is about €500 for the month and would still need to get things taken to and from it.

    Cheers
    Joe

Can’t help you with a cost but if you can rent your own storage you can get a large van from Enterprise or Europcar fairly cheaply

I used Nesta for storage. While you have a lot for a 4 bed I think you can beat that quote

If you are willing to do the lifting that’s a good idea to hire the van yourself ^^

Gocar also have vans. I don’t know if Enterprise will give a better quote, contact them both or actually check the website for quotes

If you want a man with a van to help you I’ve used Evan who owns

It all depends on your situation and how rich or time strapped you are.

If there is a lot of stuff that is really important to you I would get professional movers to organize the whole thing and take some responsibility for the whole process.

That will cost a good bit more money but you will have peace of mind.

If you have a lot of time you can put the bits (transport, labour, storage) together yourself. But it will be time consuming and you are likely to have some breakages as you go along.

If you are uncertain, and you can afford it I would try to go with the more professional approach. Moving stuff is really hard work.

I would price it up two ways and see what it works out at.

Cheers for that. Evan sorted me out and I'm using nesta. for 2 weeks storage, the removal from current place and delivery to new place is €600.
