How well does your username and avatar relate to your personality?

I, Catmaniac, chose a username which testifies that I am an animal lover, and that my current pet is a cat. In fact I tend to get along well with cats, and I only have to look at one across the street for it to come running over to me if it has a sociable nature. I could have chosen Cataholic or Crazycatlady as alternative usernames. I’m also into travel and aviation, but a lot of usernames relating to these were already taken up. Catmaniac was the first username I hit on that wasn’t already used so I just stopped there. I’ve used all the cat related avatars, and Pink Panther suits well as sometimes I colour my hair pink.

Infernum was the name of a Doom WAD I was developing in early 2016 (but cancelled because my skill at WAD making couldn't fulfil the ambitious nature of the WAD.) Now it's just a lame name and I wish I could change it but don't have the methods of doing so right now.

My avatar is a character from Quake III Arena, because my obsession with old school FPS games has recently been ignited within the past year.

I’ve come across a few catmaniacs in my time, and I think I had one such at the back of my mind. When I worked in the libraries we had one particular “eccentric” customer who went about with cats ears stuck on top of her head and whiskers painted each side of her face, and in a cat suit of course. When you would say thank you to her she would issue forth a meow. Don’t know if this lady still goes about town, but I believe she has been sighted recently enough.

I chose my username cos earlier that day I’d been on the phone to my credit card company and was chatting for a while to the guy in the call centre as his computer was slow and taking forever, when he eventually got it sorted he went through the security questions and when I told him my date of birth he said “oh! You sound really young but you’re not so young, are ya?”. Cheeky fecker!

And I chose the avatar cos I like Calvin and Hobbes.

I went through a phase of reading Dickens classics, having waited nearly 60 years to do so. My username was my favourite Dickens story at the time.

My avatar is Mr Strong from the Mister Men books, I used to read my children those books at bedtime, and they still remember (25 years later) my rendition of the farmer asking Mr Strong to help: "Help! Help! My corn field is on fire and I can't put it out".
