MSNBC On Sky?

Probably not; it would possibly hit some of the same regulatory problems Fox News did when it was available.

Plus there’s no money in simply broadcasting an unadulterated US channel over here - the other reason Fox News was ultimately pulled.

NBC in Europe already have two 24 hour news channels - Sky News and Euronews, not to mention the business news channel CNBC Europe. They don’t need a third to muddy the waters and take audience share from the other two.

Talking of CNBC Europe they did use to rebroadcast some of MSNBC - but that was the guts of 15 years ago.

You’ll see other ways Sky and NBC will utilise synergies. Recently a Premier League game was broadcast on NBCSN using Sky Sports coverage instead of NBC’s own or the world feed. Sky are taking most of NBC’s (NFL) Sunday Night Football studio coverage and ProFootballTalk. Universal’s UK TV channels will come under Sky too.. No doubt there’ll be more opportunities for synergies that will come up.
