Just to confirm, I recently upgraded my cover with Irish Life. I assume there's no waiting periods as I've developed no illness nor needed medical care before and after upgrading?

Let's say I developed an illness next month

There is a waiting period if you require treatment which will be covered by your new policy but would not have been covered under the old one.

It's a 2 year upgrade rule for pre existing conditions to avail of the higher level of cover.

Just to note that it can be preexisting without a previous diagnosis if a doctor says you should have been symptomatic at the time you upgraded.
