If you look in ebay uk you can get good value. I pickrd up a 6 bag vicon wagtail a few years ago for buttons. I think it cost the same for pallet charge.
Iirc e80 for pallet n e80 for spreader. Bit of work organising transport but was worth it. The spreader was perfect, once they have good feedback I'd chance it.

I bought one last Summerat a farm clearance sale for €47 plus commission. The drum is in good condition but some of steel parts where the fert comes out are rusted away and part of the lever you pull to allow the fert out is missing. It also didn't come with the tractor end of the pto shaft. The aluminium wagtail bit although perfect when I bought it got badly damaged over the Winter when one of my Rotties attacked it cause there was a mouse/rat hiding inside. The son of a neighbour is currently doing it up for me and the parts so far are €140 odd plus vat. I still have to pay him a few bob and get the other end of the pto shaft although I think my brother my have one that fits it.

I bought it to spread oats/linseed/flower seeds in our GLAS wbc. We used to borrow a bigger Vicon from a neighbour but unfortunately he passed away.

The one I bought came with an extention to hold more bags, I can't remember how many extra. I ended up breaking it on the first outing, I would have taken it off anyway as it was high for lifting bags over.
Working well never left a spanner on it, power wash, oil and grease.
Cheaper than a new spinner and I'm not manuring the tractor as well.
Did some seeding for the neighbour with it, turned out well.
