Rebuilding derelict house

    We bought a derelict house a couple of years ago. It was a bungalow and last occupied around 2012. We demolished it and built a 2 story house on its footprint. There was a water supply and access to the public sewer.
    Our builder was trying to follow the existing sewer pipes to connect to the public sewer and found that they were blocked with rubble concrete etc just outside our boundary and the nearby public sewer. We are wondering what’s the best way of getting the city council to clear the access point as it’s blocked. We have paid our development charges to the council during the planning stage (€10k+) but are concerned that they might start looking for more fees to open the road or maybe divert us to Irish Water. Any opinion? Many thanks

    You could chance a few hundred euro yourself on a drain contractor they might be able to clear the blockage, i had the exact same thing a few years back and a drain contractor sorted it out for me in 2 hours, i think it was €250
