    Looking for some insight here

I am considering installing a pump in attic tank to increase pressure I want to increase pressure to Hot and cold feed to the new shower considering a submersible in tank in the hope it will be quieter

The hot to shower is currently fed from open vented cylinder traditional hot press

If I pressurise the Cold feed from Tank how does it not pump up open vent or are some other changes required

    Thanks XL500

Best solution. imo, is install brass body Stuart Turner or Salamander pump in the hot press. It'll be as quiet or quieter than the tank pump. I have one in my hot press. it's about a foot from my head on the other side of the wall as I sleep. My daughter showers at 6am. I'd wake up with her door opening & closing quicker than when the pump runs. A good quality pump, plumbed correctly shouldn't make a racket.

In addition to what sleeper has said, which is your most straight-forward solution.
The pump in the tank only works for unvented cylinders. Do not be tempted to try to convert your cylinder, it will lead to serious leaking.
