    Hi bewitched,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.

You can refuse the next direct debit payment which would prevent another unpaid fee being applied to your account. When the refusal is in place you can then make alternative arrangements to make the mortgage payment.

To refuse your next Direct Debit payment, please log into your account through a Pc/Laptop, Select Manage Accounts and Sepa Direct Debit Services. If this is this is done before the cut off point of 3.30pm it will be processed the next working day.

Please feel free to get in touch with us if we can help you with anything else.

    Thanks Jen

Just reviewing the dates on your previous post, I am sorry but it would be too late to request that the Direct Debit be refused as it does take at least one working day to be fully processed. In this instance we would recommend that you contact your Mortgage provider directly  to discuss if this would impact your Credit Rating. If your Mortgage is with Bank of Ireland give a call to our Mortgage experts on 016113333 and one of our specialist will be happy to discuss this with you.

    Thanks Jen
