Windows 10 install

I got a workstation supplied with a 1TB drive, but I want to use the 1TB for storage and put a 500GB in for the OS and some other software. I made a Windows 10 installation CD from the Microsoft Media Creation Tool, but it won't start the install as it said there is no licence or something similar.

I did this recently and it installed fine, there was a watermark in the corner stating the product is invalid, but the OS was activated from the motherboard eventually. Is this something that has changed in the past few weeks?

You can get a win 10 product key for like e10 on ebay..

If 10 is running on the 1TB, just clone it on to the SSD?

I've cloned from 1TB to 500GB before and even when you tick the proportional option in the software it is still glitchy after installing, so I like to avoid it. I've found a HP Win 10 disc and it's allowed me to install so fingers crossed. They usually come with the CD, but this one didn't.

Either HP or Microsoft must have changed something, I used the MCT, it prevents you from even starting the install now. It used to install, then you'd see the watermark in the corner of the screen, but it would go away after a few restarts.
