Worcester 28i has packed up. System locked out (flashing reset light which doesn’t clear once reseted). Pressure fine. Fan fine. No HW or CH. Had the engineer out tonight who said it was the valve at the end of the process which wasn’t working anymore to let gas into the system. Advised me he’s going to cost up a replacement valve tomorrow. Warned me that as it’s an old boiler (2006) that it may end up reasonably expensive (£300 not including labour). At what point do I think about just getting a new boiler done? Had the PRV and expansion vessel done 6 months ago and worried it may become a sinking hole. Is it worth replacing the whole unit?
