Picture Show has been replaced by Screentime...

Fardy is a poor replacement imo. A little harsh on the ears.

The presenter and the guest reviewers almost came across as unimpressed with anything.

They kind of reminded me of these guys.......:D:D:D:D:D

In the latter days of the Molloy incarnation of the show Fardy started to not only produce the show but contribute to some segments. The tension between him and Molloy was palpable as they were clearly viewing movies from completely different perspectives. Molloy's love of film was obvious, whereas I feel Fardy watches movies to find fault with them. I rarely missed Molloy's shows, I rarely listen to Fardy.

As I stated above with the clip from Hitch. He wants to be too cool for school and look to pick holes wherever possible. Makes for a less enjoyable listen and I rarely hear it anymore. Newstalk have made some mistakes in the past but I would like to know who was smoking the gange when this decision was made.

Philip Molloy i thought worked much better when he had a segment on someone else's show. Worked great with Hook for example.
His own show, while not as good, was miles better than Fardy.

Fardy's voice and style bugs me so much that it distracts from the content. he just sounds sleazy.

Yeah, agree with that assessment of Molloy guesting with Hook.

His show wasn’t bad, in fairness, but when he wasn’t interviewing someone he sounded like he was reading from a script.

Fardy was grand doing a segments on other people’s shows too, like on “Bobby’s Late Breakfast” but on his own it doesn’t really work for me.
