    Hi All,

Just got new windows installed around the house and noticed that there's a gap between the window and the window sill that you can see the foam. I'm pretty sure this should've been sealed up by the installers?

    Picture Attached.

Normal to allow for uneven openings, or level differences.
Ive seen gaps twice the size so it looks to be a neat enough job.

The external face should have been sealed with a sealant in the same colour of the window frame in my opinion though.

Yeah that's what I was thinking they should've sealed it with a sealant as they did on the top and sides but have left the bottom of the all windows for whatever reasons.

There is no gap. The window sits on the upstand on the cill what you are looking at is the face of the cill and the piece of the window that comes down to cover the junction between the window and upstand. As other poster said they probably should have used silicone in same color as window, I've never seen foam used to seat a cill

It looks like it was just a bit that was missed, if you look to the right it’s sealed up. It doesn’t look like there’s any upstand on the back of that cull hence the reason it was foamed. I’d just give them a call and they should call back and seal that bit no hassle.

The normally have a slip to fit at end. Just get onto them and ask.

Edit: sorry there is already a slip.
