The new nursing home in Urlingford at the site of the abandoned hotel seems to be nearing completion. Does anybody have any progress updates/expected opening dates for it? Will be a major boost for the small town that seems to have a business closing on its main street every few weeks.

I've heard that the project has stalled, due to KK Co.Co. being very obstructive with the developer.

If true, it would be a real shame, as nursing homes for our elderly are badly needed & such a development should be welcomed with open arms. Not to mentioned applauded for helping remove an eyesore from the village, after the failed hotel project.

Thanks for that. Wonder how it will all pan out. Was under the impression that it was due to be opened almost a year ago now.

    Yeah, maybe so.

In any case, hope it opens soon & offers our elderly another option of somewhere to live out their last years in dignity & with the care they deserve on hand.

Looks like it will be opening soon! Great news for the community of North Kilkenny and especially the elderly. Nice to name it after Fenor Hill also.

They have begun moving in to Fennor Hill over the last few weeks in a phased process.
