One of my children has just acquired a phone yesterday. I am monitoring usage, as he is young, and i have downloaded Family Link app to help with this.
Earlier on I received an email from Revolut trying to sell me insurance for my new phone - I didn't buy it. My child did with his own money.

How can they know this? Their app only requests permissions for camera and location.

It'll know from when you go to download the app through the play store or apple store as it checks the device to see if it's compatible.

    Download which app?
Revolut will have checked the Family Link app for compatability with Revolut?
Do they have authority/permission to do this?

Does your young child have Revolut installed on their phone?

No. Just some games, snapchat, what's app, etc. He has no need for revolut.
    He paid cash.

Perhaps, by installing the Family Link, you're tying his phone to your Google account in some way, and Revolut has access to this information.
